What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking business development executive to lead the insurance sector sales and customer growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Business Development will initiate, manage, and oversee the success of all prospect and client relationships in the insurance segment, as well as motivating, influencing and supporting all internal functions which bear on the successful achievement of client expectations. This professional must be a critical, strategic thinker as well as a highly motived ‘doer’ with a proven record of success in expanding company revenue performance and exceeding business goals.

Duties and responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets in the online insurance markets
• Maintain an active pipeline of forecasted sales to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual quota.
• Become a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their needs and business objectives.
• Convert client-specific and general industry challenges into revenue opportunities.
• Focus relentlessly on bringing 9n new clients and expanding the business opportunities inside existing client accounts.
• Manage the internal Sales Consultants and industry market leaders to create industry-relevant presentations and demonstrations for the target market and function.
• Develop proposals, business cases and ROI model for and with clients.
• Conduct effective business and account planning activities for named accounts.
• Participate in weekly pipeline and forecast reviews.
• Partner with Marketing on target account marketing plans, and with Customer Success teams to ensure client success with proofs of concept and programs in production.
• Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of the company’s lead management platform.
• Work with various internal groups within organization to provide customer feedback and drive revenue opportunities on a national basis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in lead generation sales required.
• 5+ years of experience selling into insurance markets required.
• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of accounts with keen prioritization and multi-tasking.
• Experience in building relationships with insurance, affiliates and lead buyers.
• Understanding of call lead generation technology
• Audience appropriate communication and presentation skills to accommodate the multiple levels and functions involved in an enterprise sale.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the unique ability to talk technical details and business strategy in the same conversation.
• Respect processes but be adaptable through change.
• Critical thinking and proven ability to solve complex problems
• Excellent written skills - technical writing skills are a plus.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Compensation

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for procurement of new business and ensuring client engagement and retention through strategic development of business relationships.
• Maintain direct and active relationships with partners, communicating regularly via email, phone calls and live meetings.
• Work with team to achieve performance targets, objectives, and outcomes on the company’s overall interest.
• Manage ongoing relationships with existing clients by analyzing and reviewing feedback regarding performance and service. Providing excellent in-depth analysis and problem-solving to address and resolve client complaints, concerns, and questions.
• Maintain current knowledge of best practices, standards, and technology within the industry by attending conferences and events, researching and/or subscribing to publications, and utilizing other appropriate methods to obtain business and professional information.
• As a Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will work on multiple projects simultaneously while providing perspective on the global strategic impact to the internal teams, keeping projects moving and managing client expectations.

Job requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role (business development, customer success, account management).
• Experience in the insurance industry, required (auto insurance).
• Experience with lead generation, online marketing, and other marketing concepts.
• Experience using SaaS software or other web-based software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and in-person and virtual presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage portfolio of accounts with keen prioritization and multitasking abilities.
• Expertise in calculating figures and amounts, forecasting, development of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, performance measurements, and other analysis, as needed.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and dot-connecting skills with the ability to develop quick, accurate situational awareness.
• Excellent sales/negotiation skills with keen understanding focus to maximize customer success while optimizing profit. Must have conflict resolution skills.
• Experience and comfort interacting with and influencing C-level executives.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently, while also being able to work in a team setting with varied responsibilities.

Director of Business Development-Insurance(Profitise)

The Director of Business Development - Insurance, has a proven track record of sales success with experiences of exceeding an individual annual revenue quota.

The primary focus of this role is to ensure a proactive outbound sales initiative while maintaining a high level of success in receiving inbound sales leads. In collaboration with Client Success, Project Management, and Onboarding Teams this position provides visibility into customer feedback and platform customization uses cases.

The ideal candidate will have effective sales leadership qualities, customer engagement skills, and exceptional critical thinking capabilities. This position functions as a consultative business partner to Profitise’s client prospects within the insurance space and requires a solid understanding of affiliate or performance marketing.

Responsibilities

• Be Profitise’s subject matter expert on call and web lead performance marketing by maintaining an in-depth understanding of products, services, and technology.
• Acquire a client portfolio of accounts in the insurance market and allocate appropriate resources to ensure value is being deliver to the customer base.
• Proactively identify growth opportunities for customers and improve their awareness of the product features or integrations available through Profitise.
• Validate customers’ desired business outcomes by providing comprehensive platform demonstrations, a strategic platform set up recommendations and value assessments.
• Leverage internal tools to monitor customer health while allocating
• Resources to ensure potential is realized and risk is mitigated.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of strategic marketing experience is required in either digital, agency, or customer success management in fast-paced work environments.
• Excellent sales leadership skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Must be analytical, organized, and methodical with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to ensure successful client acquisition goals are exceeded through strategic planning and client sales initiatives that incorporate KPIs belonging to the client and Profitise.
• Proficient knowledge of CRM and Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• 3 years minimum experience in affiliate management software.
• A Bachelor’s degree.
